If you are searching for a present for a golfer, then you can’t go far wrong with giving a top store’s gift voucher. But, is this just the easy way out or what your recipient would really prefer?

Unless you know your golfer well, you can’t accurately be sure what they would prefer out of the myriad of golfing equipment that there is on the market today. What looks to you to be an excellent training aid, they might detestp/spin]. They might even have a couple stashed in the back of a gear or a training aid that they really want and are maybe saving up for. This is where giving a golf gift voucher come in very useful.

Choose an online shop with plenty of alternatives and buy a golf gift voucher from there. This will give maximum choice of potential equipment.

Best of all, by prchasing from an online shop they might even be able to email you the voucher. This is ideal if you are on the lookout for a present and have left it rather late to buy it! Some shops will even email it to your benefactor - saving you that time and effort!

Another advantage of giving golf gift vouchers in an online store is that anything that is not spent in the first purchase automatically carries over to future purchases. There’s no receiving small vouchers or losing small amounts of change. It’s like loading a prepaid card and having that to start the purchases off with.

Sometime vouchers are seen as an easy way out. Instead of thinking of what to buy, you just choose a simple voucher. Instead of going out shopping and selecting a present, you just click on a website and buy a voucher.

Is this true with golf? With the complexities involved with golf, I have to say “no”. Even something as simple as picking a box of golf balls could go wrong, if you don’t know your golfer’s favourite choice. They might prefer distance over control balls and you could get the opposite. A regular golfer will know the feel of his, or her, favourite brand of golf ball and if you give a competing brand it might not be quite to their standards. A good intentioned present, but it might end up sitting in the cupboard.

Choosing training aids and clubs is just as tricky. It could be that the person no longer feels the need for certain training aids or has already read about them and decided that they don’t want particular items. A club has to feel right, not just be the same club number. A mid range club of a different brand in the bag might not give the required step in in the selection of clubs.

On balance, buying your favourite golfer some gift vouchers is by far and above the best way of buying them a golfing present. Do it - they will really appreciate it!

Golf is a sport in which a player, using many types of clubs including a driver, a putter, and irons, hits a ball into each hole on a golf course in the lowest possible number of strokes. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not use a standardized playing area; rather, the game is played on golf “courses”, each one of which has a unique design and typically consists of either 9 or 18 holes. Golf is defined in the Rules of Golf as “playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules” Get yourself more involved in game with thegolfswingtest.blogspot.com

1. To develop a simple, comfortable and effective grip. Your grip is the foundation of your golf swing. Make sure your grip is comfortable. It is important to develop a neutral grip that requires no compensations during the swing. The orthodox position with the V.s of both hands (formed by the forefinger and the thumb) pointing between the chin and right shoulder is a good place to start. Very few good players have grips with the V.s pointing very far from this position. If you want a little stronger grip move the left hand over to the right a little.

2. To learn how variations of the grip affect ball flight. Experiment with slight variations of your grip. Observe how the changes affect the flight of the ball. A weak grip encourages a slice or fade. A strong grip encourages a hook or a draw. The V.s formed by the index finger and thumbs on both hands should point between the chin and right shoulder.

3. To develop the best possible grip for you. Every golfer swings and grips the club differently. Over 90 percent of golfers use the Vardon or overlapping grip. Players with smaller hands sometimes find the interlocking grip, with the little finger of the right hand interlocked with the index finger of the left hand, works best for them. Players with smaller should use a baseball type grip.

Important Golf Grip Tip - have the feeling that the palm of your right hand mirrors the angle of the golf club face. To really ingrain the correct golf grip it is sensible to purchase a practice club like the Refiner Swing Trainer that has a pre-molded grip that positions your hands into the perfect golf grip. Regular practice with such a club will help you to be very comfortable with your golf grip. Make yourself ready for a game, we will help you by providing the golf swing test.

Try this putting tip: Place your golf ball on the line leaving some of the line on the ground visible behind the ball.
This will help you to guide your swing.
You will then be able to swing your putter using the line on the ground as a guide and the line on the putter itself to connect with the center of the ball.

In a very short time you should find that you are managing to putt from a relatively good distance and get the ball in the hole most of the time.

This will help you to develop the correct posture and consistency to putt well.

After doing this for a while from different positions on the green, move the ball off the line and visualize that there is still a line on the ground by creating it in your mind, looking from the ball to the cup and back again several times.

Line up your putter as before and look at the line on your putter to hit the center of the ball with this spot on your club.

You are now retraining yourself to see an invisible line from the ball to the cup that you can use on any green you play on.

Golf Mental Game Mastery…Now!

Posted by admin

You are about to be introduced to a cutting-edge golf mental game technique that combines centuries-old wisdom with quantum physics, enabling you to effortlessly slash strokes off your score…without a bit of additional practice.

Does it sound too good to be true?

Skeptical? - Who could blame you?

Despite being “unconventional”, do yourself a favor and suspend disbelief for a short time.  Dare to “think outside the tee box” and actually test these techniques on the course. After all, it’s about results, right?

Renegade Mindset Techniques ™ is a do-it-yourself form of acupuncture—without the use of needles.  Instead you simply “tap” on a few “clearing points” while focusing on a negative feeling or emotion.

There are countless situations where RMT can be applied to make your game more effective.  For example:  first tee jitters, yips, anxiety about hitting over water, fear of embarrassment, anger and frustration, etc.

Want to know more? Read on…

Step One:  Tap the Clearing Points (Negative Focus)

Using the tips of your index and middle fingers, lightly tap each point approximately ten (10) times while focusing on the negative emotion (anxiety, tension, fear etc.) or physical symptom (rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms, etc.) you are experiencing.  It is important that you focus on the negative while tapping. I shudder to think what the “positive thinking police” will have to say, but that’s a topic for another article.

Point One – Collarbone

Technically speaking, it is not the collarbone, but rather the two boney notches at the base of your neck (the location of the knot of a necktie).  Tap lightly ten times while focusing on the negative emotion.

Point Two – Under Eye

Tap on the bone about one inch directly below the eye.  Tap lightly ten times while focusing on the negative emotion.

Point Three - Double Wrists

Simply tap the insides of both of your wrists together (about the area that you would wear a watch).  Continue to focus on the negative emotion.

Interesting (sort of) side note: this wrist point is the one that can reduce sea sickness.  If you have ever been on a cruise ship, you may have used one of those wrist bands for your queasy stomach.  The truth is, those bands are designed to stimulate these exact wrist points.  The manufacturers don’t tell you that because it seems too weird!

Step Two: Tap the Collarbone Point (Positive Focus)

Now tap the collarbone point again approximately 10 times while repeating (aloud or silently to yourself) the phrase “Let it be easy”.

Step Three:   Take a DEEP BREATH.

The chances are very good that the intensity of your emotion will have decreased substantially or disappeared completely.  If some of the emotion is remaining, simply perform the above routine one or more additional times until it dissipates completely.

You could test this out right now by simply imagining a stressful situation out on the course.  Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what is real and imagined.

Could this sound any more like voodoo nonsense?

I’ll concede that it is rather unusual.  But one thing more unusual than the technique itself is the RESULTS it produces.

As a golf mental game coach, and a fellow golfer, the only thing I really care about is results.

How about you?
